Download media and captions from Kaltura

Please note before downloading your Kaltura videos: 

  • You need to be the media file owner to download. If you are the co-publisher, co-editor, or co-viewer, you will not be able to download the media, in this case please contact lc@nscad.ca to request access to the video file. 
  • Make sure to download the video and the caption file.
  • If your video(s) are using multi-stream media (picture-in-picture) format please contact lc@nscad for assistance. 
Step-by-step

1) In Brightspace go to the Navbar on the top of the page and click on Kaltura > My Media

2) Select the Edit pencil icon to the right of the recording. note: If you have multiple videos in the list, each video needs to be downloaded separately.

3) On this page click on the Downloads tab

4) On this page select Source and click Save

5) When saves you will notice a green banner at the bottom of the page confirming that your information was saved successfully, now click on Go to Media

6) On this page click on the Download tab

7) On this page please click on the links to download the transcript and video files
